Air cadets from Tynemouth Squadron have won the prestigious Cadets Cup for a record-breaking collection in last November's poppy appeal.

Being a good citizen and helping others is part of an air cadet's life.

This year, cadets from Tynemouth Squadron have already raised over £5000 for local and national charities. we regularly support other youth groups with activities and our cadets have recently involved in delivering first aid training to school students.

Our squadron band support local community events and has played for the Duke of Edinburgh, lead the annual Battle of Britain Parade through Newcastle and played at remembrance day events.

Each year our cadets collect for the national shoe box appeal and send Christmas gifts to children in war-torn countries. This kind of volunteer work is at heart of what we offer to our cadets.
