As an air cadet at Tynemouth Squadron you will take part in a lot of new and exciting activities.
New cadets learn all about the air training corps, the royal air force, how to fly the Grob Tutor (one of our training aircraft) how to map read, how to fire a rifle and a whole lot more. Training lasts about 3 months and once you're a qualified cadet, then the fun really starts.
Air cadets can take part in camps and visits to RAF stations; they can visit other air cadets around the world as part of the international air cadet exchange or simply take part in a sponsored abseil.
At Tynemouth Squadron we have a very active squadron band and we can teach how to play an instrument, or you can bring your existing instrument along for a practice.
